From my teenage years I listened to the pop stars of the day, Johnnie Ray, Dickie Valentine and Elvis of course. Rock and Roll followed where I danced the night away to Bill Haley, Little Richard & Jerry Lee Lewis. Traditional jazz came next, smokey basement cellars with non stop jiving. I then grew up a little and turned to the fabulous singing of Frank Sinatra, Billy Eckstineand Sarah Vaughn who were accompanied by the fabulous big bands of the era. Motown, Soul and Country, I have listened, danced and loved them all.

Now it’s my time to ‘do’.
I have sung with the Rock Choir for over seven years and with them I had the opportunity to sing in street markets, shopping centres and with 15,000 other Rockies the O2 London Arena. Followed by the NEC Birmingham Arena and to top it all make a recording in the famous Abbey Road Studios. The same place as many of my favourites artists above!

I am now in a ukulele band called Rumatica. We are a mixed bunch of happy people enjoying our time together playing a variety of music from over the years. This for me makes me remember all my good times again.
Music does make happy memories.
